CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPOSBILITY
We make decisions based not only on financial factors such as profits or dividends but also based on the immediate and long-term social and environmental consequences of their activities.

Our effort is basically on following four fronts:
1. Education of Children, and elders on benefits of Conservation
2. Water conservation
3. Medical facilities
4. Global warming

1. Education of Children, and elders on Benefits of conservation.
We think it is vital for the local community to comprehend the significance of their natural surroundings. Why so many tourists come to see the Tiger and other wild and birdlife in their forests is essential for them to understand. What do these tourists come to see in their forests is vital as well for them to grasp. It is ironical that most of them since birth have not visited the park on a safari.
The local school is only upto 10th standard, we have started to award scholarships to outstanding students.

2. Water Conservation
The rain comes in plenty in the monsoons, and there is a river close by to support the farmers. But the rains comes only 3 months in a year, which results in only paddy plantation, they are unable to do any other crop round the year and depend only on vagaries of monsoons. To store water, increase ground water table, do rain water harvesting was not happening in the local village. Discussions have been initiated with local Villagers to identify land which is a natural water catchments area and consider holding water and doing rain water harvesting. What some of them were unable to understand by talks they noticed by changes done by organic farming in Chitvan.

3. Medical Facilities

The closest hospital is about 100kms in the District Headquarters, we are looking at possibility of having a local hospital where a daily Out Patient Department operates for half a day to solve the problem. As distance is a problem with no regular connectivity to the District hence people avoid and delay going to the Hospitals.

4. Global Warming
Burning fossil fuels such as natural gas, coal, oil and gasoline raises the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, and carbon dioxide is a major contributor to the greenhouse effect and global warming.
In a hotel and resort it is tough to stop completely the usage of fossil fuels but we are trying constantly to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels, which in turn reduces global warming, by using energy more wisely.
Following are the 10 simple actions we are doing to ensure that we do not add up to the global problem but also offset the carbon.

1) Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

2) Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning
3) Change a Light Bulb
4) Drive Less and Drive Smart
5) Buy Energy-Efficient Products

6) Use Less Hot Water

7) Use the "Off" Switch
8) Plant a Tree
9) Get a Report
Card from Your Utility Company
10) Encourage Others to Conserve
